Why learn English?

Why learn English?

I think we would all agree that learning a second language is important especially a global language like English.  Here are the top ten reasons to why we should learn English.  There is a Czech proverb that really explains it all.

     “You live a new life for every language you speak.  If you know only one language, you only live once.”

The world is becoming a global village and it is most likely that English will be chosen to be the global language.  Here are the top ten reasons why it is learning English is important.

1. Travel     learning English makes travel easier.
     2. Employment
Speaking a second language make you more employable.
     3. Money
There are strong financial rewards for knowing the language.

4. Technology
It is estimated that 80% of the world's research and academic papers are published in English.

5. Mental Stimulation
Learning a language is excellent mental stimulation. 

6. New Experiences
Learning a language opens up new experiences.
     7. Know Your First Language
The more you study another language the more you learn about your own.

8. Friendship
The internet is a great way to make new friends.

9. Life Skills
It can be a humbling experience to be reduced to illiteracy, or being unable to express yourself

10. World Peace
The world needs more conversations between people from different parts of the world to develop a common understanding and maybe peace.

With those points mentioned above, there is no better time to start learning English than NOW!!

สาระน่ารู้ เรื่อง "การพัฒนาการฟังสำหรับเด็กปฐมวัย"

การพัฒนาการฟังสำหรับเด็กปฐมวัย

อายุ 2 ขวบ ชอบฟังคำพูดสั้นๆ จูงใจ ฟังเรื่องสั้นๆ และเพลงกล่อมเด็กวัยนี้ชอบคำซ้ำและเลียนแบบเสียง

อายุ 3 ขวบ ชอบฟังเสียงต่างๆ เช่น เสียงสัตว์  ยานพาหนะ  เครื่อง ใช้ในครัวเรือน ชอบฟังนิทาน ฟังได้นานและฟังอย่างตั้งใจ สามารถเข้าใจภาษาพูดง่ายๆของผู้ใหญ่ ทั้งคำถามและปฏิเสธ ชอบทดลองทำเสียงเหมือน เช่น เสียงรถยนต์  รถไฟ

อายุ 4 ขวบ  ฟัง เรื่องได้นานขึ้น เริ่มตีความหมายเรื่องที่ฟัง เช่น ถามคำถามหรือต่อเรื่องได้ วัยนี้สามารถปฏิบัติตามคำสั่งง่ายๆได้ ชอบฟังเรื่องซ้ำๆและสามารถจำแนกความแตกต่างของเสียงได้

อายุ 5 ขวบ  ชอบฟังนิทาน เพลง เล่นภาษา เช่น คำคล้องจอง สามารถเข้าใจคำพูดข้อความยาวๆ ได้ ความเข้าใจทำให้เด็กวัยนี้พูดเก่งและจำแม่น

อายุ 6 ขวบ ฟังเรื่องราวต่าง ๆ ที่เกี่ยวกับปรากฏการณ์ต่าง ๆ รอบตัวได้ และเข้าใจ ถ้าไม่ซับซ้อนเกินไป

กิจกรรมการฟังที่ครูควรจัดได้แก่ การฟังนิทาน ฟังคำสั่ง ฟังการจำแนกเสียงลักษณะของการจัดกิจกรรมอาจนำไปสอดแทรกในกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ อื่นๆ หรือจัดแยกเป็นกิจกรรมอิสระก็ได้

Language is a very important part of a child’s

Language is a very important part of a child’s education.  From birth, a child continually develops their language skills.  Here, we aim to foster this by developing teaching techniques that are modern and child centred. We continuously feed as much information and vocabulary to our students through fun and interesting language activities.  Our language Teachers focus on developing confidence in order to create students that love to learn and speak English.
